Founded in 2024, VertexCode emerged from a simple observation: the way we evaluate engineering talent hasn't kept pace with the rapid evolution of development tools and practices.
As AI coding assistants became increasingly capable of solving traditional interview problems, we recognized the need for a new approach to assessment - one that focuses on the skills that truly matter in modern software development.

Our Founder
With 20 years of experience in the tech industry, our founder has conducted thousands of interviews at leading companies including Meta, PayPal, and Vrbo. Their extensive background includes:
- Serving as a bar raiser at multiple companies, ensuring high hiring standards
- Leading question bank development and standardization efforts
- Interviewing candidates across all levels, from college graduates to fellow-level individual contributors
- Assessing candidates across multiple technical disciplines
